Gilbert Zaragoza is a Sacramento native, professional boxer, and the owner and head coach of California Boxing & MMA. He was selected for Oscar De La Hoya's The Next Great Champ and brings more than 40 years of boxing experience as a fighter and coach.
His coaching is grounded in fundamentals, discipline, hard work, and respect, with influences that include Will Edgington, Don Conley, and Floyd Mayweather Sr. Sessions can be adapted for first-time fitness clients, developing students, and serious boxers.

Can adults use private boxing training for fitness?

Do I have to want to fight or compete?
No. Private boxing training is also for people who want a challenging fitness workout, better conditioning, coordination, confidence, and real boxing skill without preparing to compete.
Do I have to be a monthly member to take private lessons?
No. Private lessons can be arranged on their own or added to a monthly boxing membership. Call the gym for current options.
What is the difference between a private lesson and a group class?
A private lesson centers the session on one student's pace, questions, habits, and goals. Group classes add shared drills, partners, and group conditioning.
